I've reported him too, it was obviously someone who joined just to cause trouble and take advantage of the newbie status

It looks like he has been removed, serves him right too as he was bragging 'you can't touch me I'm a newbie'

    Evening.

Handy, sorry about the car but it could be worse - at least it was a dealer not a private seller, so you've some protection.

I've had an ok day, went to a meeting of the outreach support service involvement group, which went well and I found out about a couple of other things to do to keep me busy through summer.

Then got home to find I got a crappy score on one of my essays. I got an A at A level in the subject, so it's not that I don't understand the work, I'm just struggling to express myself properly or misunderstanding the questions. I've emailed the tutor to see if he can give any advice.

Need to write the essay for my other course now, the one that I didn't think I needed to do, then was told I had to do. Really struggling with motivation though!
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Belated happy friday, everyone - love the puddy tat pictures! Ames - sorry about your carp essay mark, I sometimes find the feedback you get for these things bears little resemblance to the mark you end up with! If you can book a tutorial that might help clarify things a bit. Keep plodding on, you'll get there!

Handy - hope you have found some joy about the car. Mine has been a bit norty recently (battery and idling control probs) but is all right now. Fingers crossed. In fact, every ruddy thing crossed because it has got to last me a few more years yet.

Hi all, Still nothing firm with the car. I spoke to the chap this morning he said he would make it right, but didn't say what he would do to achieve it.
Local Garage made a space to give it a fast once over, I'ts the Valve stem seals @ £350 to sort. I still think it's a bit more than that because once you start taking an engine apart there is always something else to find.

Still we will see what he says when I call him in the morning.

It was a bit like buying a car from your Grand dad cos this chaps in his 70's, even promised to bring us a fresh trout from his own lake (but he forgot it). If he comes up with the cash for the repair I will put up the same amount and fit a replacement engine. I found one on line that comes from a rear end smash with only 38k miles. That should keep it running for another few thousand miles. If not he can have the thing back.

Apart from that everything else is ok in Handyland.:D
