Erme, that really is awful about the crisis line. MH services seem to be taking a bashing now, in Leeds the crisis line has closed and two other charity run services have had to stop taking new clients. I wrote to my MP about the last one, pointing out that funding for some outreach services is a heck of a lot cheaper than in patient services, but as ever the council only care about their budget and so what if their policies cost the NHS more. Aaaaand... breathe...
I didn't know about the half price frapps, I'll have a look out for them!
Och no worries Ames...I've only had one tbh what with being so busy and being a little high
The crisis line is not closing it transpires...they are just overrun with calls and have limited resources......So like I'm ltd to one call a night and 2 per day@ w/e's....could be worse...best of British and all that :Ahandyman123 wrote: »Hi Chippy, Semper Feaces in Profundum Variat. How are you still burning up the miles each week?:D
Och you and your bowel probes Handy.....you can get help for these things....here I have a site for you here (Don't all click at once :money:)handyman123 wrote: »Good Evening All. Carp finish to the day. The Car I bought 2 weeks ago and haven't driven yet is Knackered. I test drove it, did all the checks fine. The Guy I bought it from delivered it to me to save me a 140 mile round trip. I parked it up and that was it. I was waiting till the end of the month to Tax it and as my insurance is due at the same time, sort that and then put it on the road.
I thought I would run it up for an while this evening to put some charge in the battery.
Smoke and Steam. It looks like a blown head gasket, no oil in the sump either. Looks like he ran it dry on the way down to me.
Well someones going to get a phone call in the morning. There is an easy solution, a sensible solution and he wont ever sell another car again solution. Good job I haven't sold my old one yet. If you don't hear from me for a while after this weekend It will be that I am camping on his forecourt with a placard saying don't buy from this dealer.
Apart from this little hiccup, Handy is fine:D
Need any support? Just let me know...I'll be on the first train down (officially blowing budget to make sure he never sells another car again
)...Just one question...will lady mind me pitching my tent on her dahlia beds?
Anyhow like I said have been mega busy...don't know where the week has gone..The other day my £6 popcorn maker came from eBay - don't know how Paypal have managed to take out £18.90 I have no recollection of purchasing ....must check in a bit...so mega skint what with groupon (hair cut) @ £18 and also £10 blown at charity shop on cleaning equipment (love the dustbuster but the Gtech sweeper needs a new battery = £10 ).......I'm in cleaning mode....anyone want my shrinks phone no :rotfl:
On Wednesday my railcard came
so off to 'test run' it this pm...bus would be cheaper but still....it's an hour each way on the bus - total time including getting down to train station = 45 mins max.....not a lot of difference but what with dodgy broken ankle from years ago (never showed on x-ray at the time) walking isn't easy..
On Tuesday I paid £108 for Ma's fridge...as if that wasn't bad enough she sent the cheque 2nd class on WEDNESDAY ...i went ape yesterday cos I was tired and forced her to a bank transfer...OD 'aint exactly healthy but there's no point adding insult to injury
Anyhow got to scoot

Morning All, well it was just when I started to post. Most of the day has gone on phone calls, arranging temp insurance so I can get the car to my mates garage. The Dealer says he will make things right, just get the car checked out then get back to him, He won't run away. Too true I told him, cos I know how to find folks.
So now it's a waiting game. New Engines between £350 and £500 not including fitting. I should CoCo. All I want is a refund then we can forget the whole thing.
Let you know how this progresses.
Regards all, Handy.:DMother Nature Don't Draw Straight lines, We are Broken Moulds in Life's Grand Design, We look a Mess but we're doing fine,

Hello and Welcome
A long time ago Pania wrote the message below to Newcomers or anyone who comes across a troll on the forum.
Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.
What is a Troll?
A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made. If you should get such a comment made on any thread you post, asking for help and advice, please realise this comment is not directed at you personally so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal because the majority of us really are a lovely bunch – ooops, modesty!
What should I do if I get a comment made on my thread?
Firstly do not respond to the comment as this is invariably what the troll wants. So to get rid of the offending post, at the bottom of the post towards the right hand side you’ll see a red "Warning" triangle within a blue “Report” icon, as shown below:
Click the icon and then "send" the message which will inform the MSE team of the post, who will then review its content and deal with it as appropriate; sometimes even deleting the troll by making their status PPR’d (Posting Privileges Removed). Remember, this site is an asset to so many people, especially those that feels like their world is falling in around them. There is a wealth of knowledgeable people here all willing to help, whatever you do, do not let the comments of one silly individual deter you from availing yourself of the knowledge base that is on offer here.PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE FORUM
It is testament to the work that Martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time, knowledge and experience freely to others; without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of their debt crisisPLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THATA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
