I'm torn between trying to find a deserted spot in the middle of the peak district to go walking or possibly staying in bed with the tv off and the curtains drawn.
Phone internet is being wobbly so I'm taking that as a good sign that I can detach myself from the world!
If I get through to Monday without having seen a photo of anything that might be happening in London I shall consider it a weekend well spent.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Yoohooo! Handy, it's me! I am still on the face of this planet, just popping in and out of the forums between jobs. Sorry to hear your employer is being her usual self. Not everyone can be as nice as us lot.One life - your life - live it!0

Hi Tix can I suggest you visit Giants Cavern near Peak Forest, you only need a hard hat and wellies to do the first 1/4 mile. That puts you around 200 feet underground. You should find it nice and quiet, Come to think of it I may even join you.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
The weddings not till tomorrow and I have an overdose of it already.Nargleblast wrote: »Yoohooo! Handy, it's me! I am still on the face of this planet, just popping in and out of the forums between jobs. Sorry to hear your employer is being her usual self. Not everyone can be as nice as us lot.
Hi Nargle, she's been OK today. It's a bit like walking through a minefield, you never know whats going to set her off.

Well, I shall be in front of that there telly tomorrow, box of tissues at the ready, soppy beggar that I am. I know that there has been a bit of overkill over the past week or two - Will and Kate life stories, Will and Kate souvenirs, Will and Kate wedding plans, knit-your-own Will and Kate etc etc but it is nice, you must admit, to have some happy news on the telly instead of some boogers blowing each other up. Or some other boogers shafting the general public for millions whilst awarding themselves big fat pay bonuses.

New page, new reminder. Welcome to DFW, if you are new please read the message below.:)
Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.
What is a Troll?
A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made. If you should get such a comment made on any thread you post, asking for help and advice, please realise this comment is not directed at you personally so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal because the majority of us really are a lovely bunch – ooops, modesty!
What should I do if I get a comment made on my thread?
Firstly do not respond to the comment as this is invariably what the troll wants. So to get rid of the offending post, at the bottom of the post towards the right hand side you’ll see a red "Warning" triangle within a blue “Report” icon, as shown below:Click the icon and then "send" the message which will inform the MSE team of the post, who will then review its content and deal with it as appropriate; sometimes even deleting the troll by making their status PPR’d (Posting Privileges Removed). Remember, this site is an asset to so many people, especially those that feels like their world is falling in around them. There is a wealth of knowledgeable people here all willing to help, whatever you do, do not let the comments of one silly individual deter you from availing yourself of the knowledge base that is on offer here.PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE FORUM
It is testament to the work that Martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time, knowledge and experience freely to others; without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of their debt crisisPLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THATA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
