Hi Guys,
Me and the Missus are off to London in a few weeks. I was wondering if anyone knew of any sites with special deals for days out / theatres etc.. we're staying at the ibis by wembley (as it was cheap and not far from tube) so anything for around that area too? i.e restaurant discount vouchers..
All suggestions would be gratefully received!!
Thanks in Advance xx

There's the usual 2-4-1 offers on a lot of London attractions if you are travelling by train....

There's not too many chain restaurants in Wembley (and it's bit of a dive unfortunately!) There's a Nando's on the high road as well as Pizza Hut. Can't remember what else there is apart from McDonalds.
There are some really nice curry houses (Sakoni's - vegetarian), Maru's bhaji house (like a little cafe in size) and lots of other curry places.:hello:

Cheers for that.. i'll have a wee look and see what I can find. I know wembley aint the best but the hotel was only 54 each for the weekend with breakfast so that made up for it with me0

www.lastminute.com have £5 tickets for The Million Dollar Quartet (Musical based on when Elvis, jerry Lee lewis, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins met up) at The Noel Coward Theatre London for most dates in feb including currently Sat 3pm and 8pm performances. They are restricted view but if you look on theatre monkey you will see they aren't too bad in that theatre. There is no booking fee but a £1.75 transaction fee-not a bad price of £11.75 in total for 2 seats to see a west end show. Think the sale finishes in a couple of days.

You are reasonably handy for a ride on the North London Line.
It's unusual because it trundles mostly overground through west London - plenty to see out of the window.
It will take you to Kew or Richmond.
Might not be the best time of year for the gardens, although the various hot houses will still be hot.
Kew itself is a charming, villagey sort of place, ideal for lunch.
Or head into Richmond, which is much bigger and more of a shopping experience, but there are a couple of decent pubs overlooking the green.

I would recomend staying at Central Youth Hostel, not far from kings Cross. You can walk everywhere from there, I had six nights for £99, off peak, special offer. I did self catering but you can get meals.
If you turn up at a theatre half an hour before the show starts you can get cheap tickets. I got a £64 ticket for Billiy Elliot for £27.50. I wouldn't recomend paying for the tour buses though, you spend all your time sitting in a traffic jam.

Thanks peeps, seems the missus wants to do the usualy touristy things like madame tussauds and london eye. trouble is to get 2 4 1 tickets for them you have to go by train and as we're planning on oysters this is no good as you dont get them with oyster cards. we're driving to wembley.
thanks for your help on here. very much appreciated0 -
...things like madame tussauds...
There's mention on another thread that Tussauds is not what it's cracked up to me.
I agree, very disappointed with my visit.
No reason not to go, but if you have to drop a destination or two because of time or money, that could be one of them.0 -

If you get paper travelcards from Wembley Stadium Railway Station they will be valid for 2-for-1 as the station is managed by Chiltern Railways which is a train company participating in the scheme.
Wembley Central travelcards would not be valid as that's managed by London Overground.
You can buy them in advance from any National Rail station if that's more convenient. Just check the clerk forward-dates them.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
