We are thinking about leaving sky. Would we get freeview through our sky box? Is there a one off fee for this? What channels would we still get through our sky box?
We have a TV ariel that gives us freeview but only in the bedroom. To get it downstairs we would need to pay someone to come & set that up for us & I'm not sure how much that would cost. We do have freeview within the TV in the lounge, just no ariel to the lounge.
Thank you for you help

You can't get Freeview through a satellite box!
As for the rest most already covered here:

It says on the linc you gave that the sky box does become a freesat box which I assume is free TV channels through the sky box? Sorry, I'm a touch confused.0

Yes that is correct. You will get Freesat from Sky.
If you have a Sky + box you will no longer be able to record, or playback programmes you may have previously recorded.
An easy way to see what you will get is to pull out your viewing card.
A few extra channels are available but require the card to be in place after you cease subscribing. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

You are confusing 'Freesat from Sky' with Freeview and Freesat.0 -
Thanks everyone. I've finally figured it all out. We are keeping the very basic package of Sky for now as we are still in contract but will drop it when the time comes.0
