Hi Guys,
If it helps, the company suggested (icarhireinsurance.com) does include cover in the UK as standard. I have an annual policy with them and checked this carefully before I bought (I even phoned them to double check) as I rent a few times a year in the UK and abroad. Most of the other similar services I looked at either excluded the UK all together or didn't cover rentals within a set distance of your home.
