My complaint re TalkTalk

I posted my complaint re TT on 30.1.11 but haven't had any replies since.
I have made several requests to TT and the reply is always a standard one: you are on the Essentials tariff which I know already. But I had verbal agreement before my contract renewal came up from one of their customer relations staff that daytime calls to 0845/0870 numbers would be free. All they are prepared to give me is £2 x 6 months (£12total) discount. I have been a long-standing customer (8 years) and feel disappointed with this poor reward.
I would like to take this further - should that be to the Ombudsman - can someone advise.

All I will say is when you are out of contract, leave.0

Thanks shortchanged but I am now in a 12 months contract and leaving anyway entails changing so many contacts; besides won't there be charges for leaving?
I would like to take this up with someone who can get TT to do as promised and amend the contract. Would that be the Ombudsman?0 -
