just get sky movies it works out cheaper if you like your films etc.

That does depend on what films you like though. My ex looked into Sky, but neither of us were particularly into mainstream Hollywood stuff. By the time we had worked out what channels we would have needed to get enough films we wanted to see each month it would have turned out really expensive. What I like about Lovefilm is the selection of films and documentaries that rarely get screened on TV.

Thanks all, am def very interested now. Will give them a try.

I signed up for the free trial - and being blonde and not wanting my card to be charged, cancelled immediately.

It said to cancel anytime during the 2 weeks, but because I've cancelled already - they wont send any out, and now lost out on free trial. D'oh!

I'd send them a message explaining it and say you would like to do the trial. They normally get back to you very quickly. https://www.lovefilm.com/visitor/contact_us.html

It's worth a try as most of the other trials are also owned buy lovefilm too and you probably won't be eligible for those now as they own most of the market.
I'm sure I went upstairs for some reason.

Ive been with them years and they are very good except you do get the occasional duff dvd which is annoying. But if you report it immediately online they send out another before you even return the damaged one. The only bug bear I have with them is that I have had so many discs now that I forget which Ive had from just the titles (and some tend to be a bit obscure foreign ones chosen by OH). So on a number of occasions I have received a disc we had already seen. I have asked them if its possible to fiddle with their program so that we are warned if we order a previously received film.

If you ring them and say you have been given a 2 months free trial card (they are always sending them out to members to distribute) but cant find it at the mo, they will 99% probably let you have 2 months free anyway.

    Blockbuster does a similar trial.

I used lovefilm for a while and found a lot of the discs we were sent were scratched and jumpy. We prefer blockbusters now.

Thanks, I sent them a mgs explaining that Im a plonker, and asking if they could allow me to still have the free trial. Just looking at blockbuster now.

Currently have freeview, but movies are usually on from 9pm, and I fall asleep long before they finish.

I get round this by rating every DVD I have out. I have a dreadful memory and often see a DVD that looks good and then see that I have rated it already!
