Postpone some of the cuts?

Exactly, its easy to criticise, much harder to be constructive and offer a viable solution.
The conservative party are not cutting because they think it will help the economy, they are cutting because the alternative is to be crippled by debt for decades to come. They've picked the best of two evils.
If the conservatives continue to pursue the policies they are pursuing we will be crippled with debt for a lot longer than under Labour.
We will end up with both evils - low growth and a big deficit. If you keep doing what you've always done - you will keep getting what you've always got.0 -

At least get your facts right. Darlings view was that the deficit should be tackled slower than the Coalition plans. Ultimately whether it be in 5 or 10 years everybody is heading in the same direction. Its just how that opinions differ.
Do you understand the term structural deficit?0 -

You've said a lot of ridiculous things, but this has to be one of the best.
So your way to get out of debt faster is to add £150bn a year to the national debt.
That makes so much sense, you know seeing as tax revenue has fallen by only £30bn over the last 2 years, which has seen one of the deepest recessions in history. But yes, Im sure tax revenue will increase by £200bn in the next few years to make up the deficit. Stop living in a dreamworld.
Periods of no growth are not alien to this country, we have had them in the past, and guess what, tax revenue has always gone up. Likewise, we have had periods of high growth, but it doesn't suddenly increase tax revenue by 50% in a few years time.
Either back up your stupid statements with some real facts, or stop spouting rubbish.Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.0 -

Only half right. The second of your assumptions was only a few decades out.Set your goals high, and don't stop till you get there.

If you want to be taken seriously you need to bring your politics up to an adult level of debate.
Oh dear - et tu brutus.
I was so hopeful that we were going to have a proper debate there too.
I suppose asking you for evidence to back up your point was a step too far hey?

One way of removing some of the meaningless flotsam and jetsam from life
