I couldn't resist popping over to the grabbit board for a peek at the BS/Groupon offer. Its a great deal.....if u need something:o I had a good look around the BS site and really I think I'd struggle to find £30 worth of stuff I actually really wanted, so I've decided against it :j:D
Also won't be doing the Lloyd's pharmacy one either as 1. The website won't work and 2. There isn't a branch near me.
Feeling pretty pleased with myself:p after my disastrous weekend of reckless spending:eek:
  • Ok, So tally of how many ppl brought the BS Voucher?

I'm resisting so far as i have over 2 years worth of bodyshop items to get through so cant count myself in.
    Tally - 0

Count me as a 0 - I have managed to resist all the BS blandishments, didn't buy anything from the Lloyds 3 for 1, and even managed to walk into B**ts to get some sticking plasters and didn't touch the 3-4-2 on Sanctuary. :A

I don't need any more stuff, and it will be on offer again soon anyway. It always is. I don't think BS shower gel is a HG to be honest - I find most of it a bit over-rated

Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

Yes, but this is the point of HG products, one person's HG is another persons over-rated. You probably have some HG's yourself that I and others would feel aren't worth it! ;)

    Hi all.

Just had a look on the grabbit board about the Groupon/BS voucher. Seems a great deal but I am going to give it a miss. This thread must be working wonders on me - I'm even shocking myself. So far this month spent £13.23 on the Bliss reductions at Debenhams and that is it (which for me is excellent). I'm sure I can make it to Tuesday:T.

Right, I'm not to good at remembering all the posts I want to reply to, so the main ones,

Jacks - That's great that you're taking a stand. I too get stared at when I'm in the makeup aisle at Superdrug, and I'm 28! I only buy makeup there if I know exactly what I want. When I dither I feel like they're watching me as if I'm going to shoplift :(

Buttercup - Congratulations! I don't have any of my own, but regularly help my sister with her 3! I've changed enough nappies & done enough school runs.

Everyone - I can resist the BS. It's just trying to resist reading the b**ts thread :( And failing miserably as my co-lurkers will have seen ;)

Having a rubbish day. About 10 days ago found out my OH's (for 4+ years) parents arranged his marriage. And it wasn't to me. So his family are old-fashioned/narrow-minded/whatever you want to call it. He won't go against them. So I'm very much :( So to distract myself I've decided to plan my spending (and limit it!) Sorry for the rant btw :(

On my list my HG moisturiser Estee Lauder Daywear (running low and Harrods are doing a lovely gwp atm).
Benefit's Bella Bamba and fantail brush (no valid reason at all as I already have Sugarbomb and the Powder Time Lover- but the colour is different).
    Something else I can't remember.
Does it count if I use Advantage card/Debenhams BC points?

Ditto re resisting voucher - though if it could be used online I might have been tempted to stock up on necessities. Glad it's instore only. I maintain my self-control - in a way!:D

OK, so we promised we'd take the kids to see gnomeo and juliet today. DH has an orange sim as does MiL. DH had no credit so off I trots to B**ts and get £5 credit. For which they give me a £5 voucher. Off I pop around the store looking in the clearance section for stuff I can't live without. Then I remembered that I need mascara. The one in the GWP is blue so no good (anyone want it?). I get to the till with my natural collection mascara £1.99 but no coupon for me :( having looked at the nice new curly No7 on 3for2 with a GWP eyeshadow set at £13. Whilst queuing (sp?) I spot a sign A4 sized on the counter saying this mascara is £10 for a trial offer for February. So I grabbed the kids and hot footed it back to the mascaras. Grabbed 3 and the freebie eyeshadow pallette. Went back to pay and she rang it through at £21. I pointed out that it should be £15 and held up the sign. Off she went to check whilst the other assistant stood there happily yapping to me and saying it was a lovely eyeshadow set and that I can use it with water too as an eyeliner. It has a brush with it too. Then she was saying to DD how pretty she is and how lovely and red her lips are (DD's 9!). Anyhoo, the other lady came back and said it ran out today so she would have to override it. I think she was hoping I'd say "Oh well" but her colleague said she had to honour it as it was there!
So, 3 of these http://www.boots.com/en/No7-Exquisite-Curl-mascara_1161016/ and one of these http://www.boots.com/en/No7-Eye-Palette_1124748/ for £15 and another £5 voucher.
She chuckled as she gave it to me and laughed more when I said "Now I've got to go round and do it all over again!"

Oh I know! My only HG is Clarins facial exfoliant, if I'm honest. The orange one, can't even remember the proper name for it! Shower gels, shampoos etc, all seem to be much of a muchness after a few days.
That's why I included *runs and hides - I know some people love the stuff!

Sawan, that's pants. So is that it then? It's over just because his parents have met someone else. That sucks :(.
Hugs for you and try to be good to yourself.
