Geez..........it's taken me ages to catch up on two days worth of posts! On another topic....
My daughter and her friends have been having problems in Superdrug again. When they go and test the products using the testers the sale assistants have been very aggressive and rude towards them, just because they are teenage girls.
I think this is crazy because teenage girls buy more Barry M and MUA etc than anybody!
Anyway, I took a bunch of 18 ladies and girls in there after school today and we all made each other up completely (eyes lips and cheeks) from the testers and left without buying a thing.
As we walked out each teenage girl left a complaint letter on the counter which contained a printed photo of her make up collection - Superdrug brands to the fore, plus a superdrug carrier bag full of perfume, toiletries and cosmetics receipts. (We'd spent the weekend going through every bag and coat to find them!)
I get that some teenage girls are troublesome, but they need to find a better way of dealing with the situation.
I'm really quite surprised to read about Superdrug's treatment of teeagers! As the mum of 2 girls - I can honestly say that the stores we've been to in Leeds (except Armley) have always been very friendly. I often leave them in the makeup section while I go looking at shampoos or whatever and never had any problems.
The White Rose makeup displays in particular always seem to have loads of teenagers trying out the testers. I mean - thats what testers are for!!!Welcome Sawan82, I'm new to this too, I don't put any money in savings when I use something up, it just helps me know what i really like and need to buy. Stops me spending unnecessarily on things that are cheap but which I don't really need or like that much.
Hiya Sawan82
Same as vivh - i don't put money aside for UUs, but I still get savings by not buying unneccesary toiletries & makeup - which just then takes up space in the house.
Since joining this thread, I've realised two things - 1. dont bother saving things for "best" as these things dont last forever, and 2. toiletries arent rare or hard to get hold of and there's also lots of offers all year round - so there's really no need to go mad and buy 6 cans of deodorant for exampleXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0 -

Amen to that! I was really tempted to buy the S&G shampoo and conditioner and heating scrub on 3 for 2, but then I won't be needing the hair things for a couple of months, and I've still got 2 scrubs to get through, and I hardly ever use them! So will not be buying
One UU for me: Clairol deep conditioner from hair dye set. I have another John Frieda and another Clairol one left, as well as Elasticizer, so won't be needing any for ages.
Also, thought that I would report on the Chanel calming emulsion I bought on Sunday, as I know several people were complaining about their skin. Mine was getting really red and spotty, and I hoped it would magically vanish after 1 application of this. It didn't (surprise, surprise!) but I noticed last night that my chin and forehead are far less red, and the blemishes are far smaller and beneath the skin. Considering I've only used the lotion 5 times so far, I'm really impressed. This product is apparently going to be discontinued, so I'm weighing up whether to buy another tube now (the tubes are 100 ml so should last a long time). Anyway, thought I would let you know! (I don't work for Chanel... sadly!)
Congratulations to Buttercup! :T0 -

I have a UU to report.... after exfoliating every night for a week, I have finally finished the Sanctuary Foaming Scrub! I have almost no skin left on my lower legs, but it's done! WIBA? Not until I've used up the other four loads of Sanctuary scrubs..... b*gger, so near and yet so far!
Bev, unless they can give me a scientific explanation for why your chesticles area is more or less delicate than your face, I'd stick with one of your decent face creams! Our faces get more exposure (except for those first few years after my divorce, when the low-cut tops got a LOT of outings) so something that helps eye-wrinkles should help neck ones....?
Night all, sleep well!

Hiya everyone
Got frustrated with the uselessness of the Lloyd's Pharmacy site so no IN's for me this morning...although my mother and sisters may venture to a store todayI would have just taken advantage of the perfume buy 1 get 2 free, kept one and eBayed the other 2... but we will see.
One UU to report - Boots Natural Collection Mango & Papaya some sort of bubble bath - I was a bit over generous in the last lot but it was aggravating me on the shelf :rotfl: WIBA Yes it was lovely, foamed well, smelt gorgeous and the smell stayed but have others to go through first.
This weekend/start of next week (will have finished work on Friday, and nothing new to be had out there in my field - grrr) I will go through everything and check it thoroughly and will probably have a few throw outs etc.
Have a good day ladies and stay away from Grabbit!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: (only because I'm annoyed with Lloyd's otherwise I'd be joining you!!)
