Questions related to number porting
Hi
I am thinking of taking out a 24 month contract with e2save or mobiles.co.uk through quidco or topcashback.
I am on O2 currently and want to stick with them. I am told at the moment network porting doesnt work on same network. so i am thinking of going from O2 pay monthly to Orange (or any other network) on pay as you go. Then move back to O2.
two questions:
1- i am guessing above number porting route is possible. am i wright?
2- when i take out monthly contract out with O2 i want to go through quidco / top cashback. Does number porting work with getting cashback. i.e. when ordering online from e2save or mobiles.co.uk can you port number online?
thanks

On the network side of things don't bother porting onto another network, once you have both accounts setup O2 can handle the number switching for you, they're one of the few networks who will allow you to move a number from one contract to another. Not sure how it'll effect your cashback though.0

Can someone please help with online number porting. I tried to do a dummy order online through e2save but got to stage of ordering perosnal details to proceed with credit check and stopped. Before that stage there was no where on form for me to enter a PAC code. can someone please tell me if i can port number online through e2save or mobiles.co.uk?
thanks0 -
You can't use a pac to move within the same network, that's not what they're for. You use them to move from one network to another.
You just start your new acc and then call CS to move your old number to it.0 -
I think with 02 they allow porting between PAYG and PAYM !0

No, they allow you to migrate your number. As explained in the rest of the thread.0
