Kitchen cabinet confusion

I dont know of a single company that buys in doors and carcases thats going to willingly tell you where the doors are sourced from. By telling you where the doors come from, all you need to do is go to another company sourcing those doors and get a price for the same layout for a 'like for like' kitchen. Of course, the 'like for like' will never tell you where the carcases come from.
If in doubt, trust your instinct. And remember that is more to carcases from just being colour coordinated inside-out and being 18 or 19mm thick. We’ve had to remove your signature. KM, thanks. I'm begining to realise that the kitchen industry is far from transparent, which is a nightmare when i am trying to compare companies in order to decide who to go with. I dont understand why companies cant be more straightforward about what they are offering... well, i do understand why they dont do this, i just wish they would!0 -
Is there a thread in this section that has links to all these manufacturers/ suppliers? If not Kitchensink could you please post links for all the ones you have been trying
Thanks0 -
Like I said earlier, you could deal with a company that tells you where they buy their doors from. That doesnt necessarily mean another company supplying you a kitchen with the same plan and doors is giving you the same kitchen.
The carcase could come from a myriad of carcase suppliers with variations in internal sizes etc. The drawer boxes might be different (there are atleast 3 major manufacturers though the commonest drawer box is Blum), as are the hinges, lift up mechanisms.
The kitchen door makes the look, the carcase and fittings makes it last. After all the doors are the bit most users take maximum care of.We’ve had to remove your signature.
