What to wear to an interview for a waitressing job?

I have a potential interview as a waitress at a local cafe. After they took my details I was told they were interviewing this week and that I should get a call.
What do I wear?

What do I wear?

my opinion is I would dress as if you were going for an office job for any interview you land, shows you have made an effort etc.0

And a smile, everybody hates miserable looking waitresses0

My friend works as a waitress and she has to wear a uniform of white blouse under a black shift dress, with tights and flat black shows. Perhaps something similar? Have you been in and had a look at what their waitresses wear whilst working?MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j

Yes, they wear a black fitted shirt and black dress trousers or a skirt - obviously not anything to revealing. And an apron around their waist with the cafe's logo on. I actually think the uniform is supposed to be smart and black.
I know it's an interveiw, but I wouldn't have the job there yet. And I don't wear those sort of clothes on a daily basis... I don't even know if I own any. I like to look smart, but I'm quite fashionable and quirky. I was thinking I should dress smart (possibly in black) but maybe in something that could show my personality?

I think that looks great, it's smart but, like you say, it shows a bit of personality. It's not revealing or wacky which are interview no-nos. I disagree that you should go as if you worked in an office, any idiot can buy a suit and it shows nothing about the candidate.0 -

I always wear a coat out - I don't own a jacket... unless it's a leather one which I own three of. Obviously not suitable for an interview. And i'd probably be expected to take off my coat on arrival.
I'm also unemployed at the moment and don't have the money to spend on too many new clothes. What's wrong with wearing it alone underneath a a smart black coat?Toto, I

I used to own a black cropped blazer, which would be perfect. But I left it in a taxi a few months ago. Doh!Toto, I
