                    MIL keeps going on about this and she reckons she knows a few people who get this.
First I've heard - sounds like a load of rubbish to me?
Anyone?

            I believe you can only get a discount if you have 3 or more children or have a medical condition where you may use more water0

            I think it's only if you have a water meter, you pay a fixed rate, as if you were just paying water rates.
A friend moved into a home with meter. Her monthly bill seemed huge £60+, she put frogs in the cisterns, used eco washes, nno flushing for wees, no paddling pools etc.
She called them to check for leaks, and they informed her of the scheme. She now pays £40 PM, which is the standard rate.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
            It is a real thing but it comes with conditions:
It is called Watersure and it is offered to people with meters who have 3 or more children and are getting benefits ( so no good if you have 3 kids and work) you can also get it if you are disabled and need more water or you have a condition that requires more washing/ bathing and a doctor can provide proof.There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin, and roam the world at will.

Thats a lot. We've got a meter and pay about £30 a month. There are only 3 of us though.0 -

            Oh and I forgot to mention that your yearly bill needs to be at least over £310 but that might have gone up with the 2011-2012 charges.
So sorry you are right, no good for you but at least you get to inform your mother in law of the facts and depending on your mother in law that might be worth it just to be right..lolThere is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;
