Next month I’m flying out to Asia where I’ll travel mostly by train. I’m looking for a good travel power charger to charge my phone with. Something powerful, but cheap…

What are you asking for? A standalone charger or an adapter?
Check your mains charger they are usually multi voltage, 110-240 so that may work. Or if your after a 12/24V one a car charger with the appropriate end may work. If your charger is something that goes to a USB port then you need a travel adapter with USB power out.
However you need to come at this from the other direction, What power will be availabe on the train, if it's anything like the UK / Eurostar the only seats with power are usually the premium economy type so you may not have power available. Once you know that you'll know what adapter you need.
If you mean one of the battery in a box type chargers then remember you still need to charge that up too every so often, and it's all extra weight to carry.
Finally bear in mind your phone will regulate it's charging scheme, using a charger that can suppy twice the power output does not mean the phone will charge twice as fast, and can in some cases damamge the phones charging circuits.0
