  • Elf - fab news on the sale, well done!!! :j

    Hannah - have a fab holiday :D

Number 11 for me today & 4 in a row please Spoon :j my neighbour bought me a box of eggs as i really fancied an omlette for tea, i told a small white lie that i had no change in my purse & asked if i could drop it over tomorrow (to finally hit that 4 in a row, is that cheating????), but he insisted that he didn't want paying as it was the least he could do to pay me back for doing the wallpapering, bless him, so not even a cheat after all. Omlette was yummy & went really well with the bottle of wine i found in the cupboard!

& very good news, plumber's done me a really good deal & is doing all the work on the bathroom for £400 (& over the weekend) in return for me doing the labouring, which i don't mind at all as i'll quite enjoy it & i might even learn something!!! I know it still sounds like alot, but as i need loads of new pipes & am putting the bath sink & toilet in different places to now i'm chuffed as i think it's a really good deal!

Best hit the sack now, it's going to be a long day tomorrow as a plumbers mate!! :D

...always good at maths, I was, till I started doing this challenge......I think that Spoon person put a jinx on me this month when we got mixed up over my target.....

But what the heck! They say God loves a trier...and boy, am I trying.....(don't all agree at once!)

Sorry Nargle:o I didn't mean to put a jinx on you:o.. I could change it back to 10 and pretend it was always 10:D

That's a pretty good deal actually, you've done well there. And you're right, you'll learn a lot, plumbing isn't half as difficult as it looks. Have fun tomorrow :D

  • Hello everyone!

(((Hugs))) to those that need them.

Must be something in the air - Feeling a little frustrated at the mo, as I've got a couple of big spends coming up next month, so there won't be any extra money (which I've had in recent months) to pay off my debts more quickly .

I'd also really like a treat of a lil holiday and a lil purchase (or 2 ...), but I've got my eyes fixed so firmly on the prize of hitting a couple of mini debt free targets this summer, that I'm determined to rake in as many pennies as possible - so much so, that recently, when I've had to spend money, I've done so very begrudingly! ... I feel that I'm turning into a miser! moneybysnowstorm13uv5.gif

At least I won't get landed with that kipper! trouted.gif

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway, where was I ... oh yes, checking in to report, that after Thursday's begruding spend day;), I managed to reign in one more NSD yesterday, so I'm now up to 15 NSDs! Yee haw!

Have a good weekend everyone and good luck catching more NSDs!

BDINI - are you sure it wasnt the sight of you wielding the sledgehammer that made him give you such a good deal?:rotfl::rotfl:Seriously, you did well there methinks! Have a great day, but dont disappear round the u-bend!

Thanks Spoon - he was delighted with it. When he opened it up, it turned out it contained 2 canvases, a bunch of paints and paint brushes. He said it was brilliant value for the money - great for anyone starting out a new hobby too!

Chris, I can understand your frustration. When you're chucking everything at your debts, you get into the habit of not treating yourself at all. I would suggest choosing a couple of smallish things that you could treat yourself to to keep your morale up.
You are doing SO well - it's an old cliche, but remember " it's not how far you've got to go, it's how far you've come" HTH
BTW - love that kipper smilie, your smilies always make me giggle!

you will always be rich enough to be generous.

    Good morning all!
Up early as doglet is going for hairdo at 8am. We are dropping him off and then going to BANDQ to return the tiles we bought yesterday which just dont go as well with the rest of the kitchen as we thought they would. Of course, instead of just buying a sinlge box to take home to test, we bought the whole six boxes

Then this afternoon we are getting a sideboard, which is actually mine, but which has been on loan to my sis. It means clearing out and dismantling the existing units, so a busy day ahead.
We are re-jigging our living room in prep for the new suite which is on order.
Not sure about spends, I want to go to Co$tco for a rotisserie chicken for later but I put the money aside for it yesterday out of my grocery money.
    Will report back!

    Have a lovely day everyone!:)
