Today was to be a NSD, but realized I was going to have to get the bus back after dropping the car off for its MOT. So as my invigilating finished early (some exams cancelled), I wandered over to M&*, to see what I could spend my gift card on (50th pressie over 2 months ago!). Didn't see anything I liked and could afford in the Home bit, so got some nice bits of food and will get something that I do like later (and can afford!) and call it my present. Does that make sense!! Also stopped off @ Al*i and got a free-range chicken for £4.99 - had it for tea, lush!!

I also popped into Dun**m Mill and got a few things I had been planning to get from there since before Christmas.

So now I will do as others do, and put money aside for my hair-cut tomorrow...and a bit more in case there are some hair products I fancy!! That will make tomorrow an NSD...and then hopefully every day until Monday...."only" four in a row...but still good!

Must go and strip the chicken and cook up the bones for stock. We have enough chicken leftovers for another tea and some lunches...happy days :j

Well done everyone...we are all in the swing of catching NSDs these days now!!!

Well as today was not a NSD at 12.00am and 52 secs...it continued to be a NSD...

popped into Mr W at lunchtime and got to Original Source hand washes on offer at 98p each - still a bit more than I normally spend on hand wash but these did smell yummy and sometimes I do get a bit tired of always having what's more or less the cheapest (well not Value/Basics as I'm not sure it would do much for my dry skin but you know what I mean)

Also got a 'sympathy' card in MnS for a colleague in the States who lost her mother at the weekend (as in she passed away...not that she misplaced her...sorry, my black humour there :o)

And finally had to get milk - though local shop didn't have any 1% for £1 and looking at the shelves they may not be getting any more in :( So £1.39 on 2 litres of semi instead.

Was kinda planning for tomorrow to be a NSD, but OH needs some new slippers (current ones are SMEEEEELLLLLLYYYY) and it's my bruv's B'day on Sat so I need to send a card, though I could do those things on Fri as I need to take the cat to the vet for her annual jabs (and my annual  at the cost) but she can't go into the cattery without them.

  • Hi all! Well everyone is doing terribly well, no? I feel dreadful. I've managed 3 NSD's so far which is dreadful, I was hoping to nab one yesterday but fell into the Lindy Hop social night. Oops! ;) However, today has been one as was Saturday and Monday. Not too bad. Tomorrow is definitely not going to be a non spendy day as I'm off Ceilidh dancing, but I managed to wangle an hour taking people's pennies which means my entrance fee is nil so I've saved a poorly octopus, woop :) And NO I will not spend the extra on beer... I hope...

Onwards and upwards. I have a child free weekend coming up so will try and get all food in tomorrow and then tot up my NSD's for the next 4 or 5 days. It's suddenly become rather tight this month! But I am sticking with 15... :)

Spoony you are so right on taking lunch to work being such a money saver. No temptation and what is going on with the price of drinks!!! Found infusion bags and taking them as well. Save a huge amount on my car renewal this week (nearly £200!). Not a bad MSE start

    Number 3 today.
