I can`t guarantee anything but can tell you what I find out and then you decide if you want to send off the cheque.

I agree this looks a bit dodgy, it says the auction is for a samsung D700 but the seller has revised it to a D500, as far as I can see there is a big difference between the two. £200 doesn't sound cheap either, but I am used to getting free upgrades.
Anyway, I do hope you get your phone, I guess all Ebay sellers have to start somewhere!Sexkitten

His name and phone number is listed in one of his other auctions that has completed and received feedback. Don't take a lot of working out

But how do you do that? As soon as I tried to buy something that cost more than a few tens of quid, PayPal insisted that I set up a direct debit and they use that instead of my credit card. No cash reward and no credit card protection.

Found this very odd ... he's auctioned this phone before and receieved no feedback and has only left neg feedback for the people... let us know what happens!
P.s. yes it wasn't very hard to spot his number - only arfa twig ey Dave - LOL!Official DFW Nerd 210

I hate to be pessimistic but you have two hopes of ever getting this. I would say that Bob is the first one and would put money on the second one

Well I told him to 'order me one', take pictures of it etc and only then will I pay. By the time hes done all that someone must have recieved one advertised in previous auctions of his so I can ask them if they ever got the phone.
There are genuine deals on eBay and that is the problem - I spotted someone knocking a few out at £100 Buy It Now on completed listings (PHone shop closure...person must have just wanted rid!)0 -

You are totally right. There are some REAL bargains on eBay. Its just when it comes to newbie sellers selling high value items its always wise to proceed with caution. You might just turn out to be a genuine bargain baitor and get your phone....who knows?"There are no pockets in a shroud..."0 -
Just to 'bump' this thread in the other direction....
Today there was a buy it now for £700 for 8 (or was it twelve) motorola V3's from a seller with over 400 100% positive feedback. The item never sold, but 'why' didn't he sell them individualy?????
He had and still does have a high number of items for auction, earlier, he was also selling 8 nokia 6230's and 8 other nokias as a 'lot' - As far as I could see, he had sold one or two phones before but never in lots!
Makes you wonder why? or if its a scam, but why risk all that positive feedback!!
