o2 Free Texts

Hi All,

I am with o2 and I signed up for their 300 free texts per month offer which is subjective to topping up £10 each month. Yesterday I added £10 to my phone but the free texts did not activate, could the fact that I topped up earlier in the month a got free texts then have a bearing on this?

Yes this will be why you have not received them yet.
You will get the free texts from this latest top up on your next anniversary date.

Unless I'm missing something you're getting ripped off. You can get unlimited texts just by topping up £5. £10 will get you some internet as well, 15 gets you some internet, texts and free minutes.

You are missing something. The texts are free, you get to keep your top ups to spend on other stuff.

£10 pm gets you a 100 minutes free and unlimited texts.

I top up £20 per month, unlimited texts, 300 mins & 500mb web

You are talking about pay and go Simplicity £10, the minutes aren't free, they cost £10.
See my post above. On pay and go Text and Web you keep the ten pounds and get 300texts and 500 megabytes of data.

At present I top up about £10 per month and get 300 free text as a result, however after topping up on Saturday these have still not came through.

In addition to this I have earned £2 via the rewards system, however when I go to claim it I am unable to as a recorded message tells me that I am not a "pay and go customer".

Is there anything I need to do?

You don't get the texts each time you top-up. You get them once a month on your anniversary date; how many you get depends on the total amount you topped up BEFORE the date.

If you look at My O2 either online or on your phone, it will show you your anniversary date and what you will get.

If you think its wrong, or you feel you should have received it then call O2.

To claim your reward you can either use the O2 Reward website or text the word CLAIM to 50202.

Thanks for your help guys, my free texts came through on my anniversary date.
