Best and cheapest place for specs ?

If you live or work near a university with a department of optometry they will have a student clinic offering free eye tests and will not sell you something you don't need and their charges for specs are reasonable.Scrum down.0

I thought this looked too good to be true. Unfortunately they don't do thin lenses on a varifocal prescription, so if your prescription is strong, or your eyes are very different, they will not be able to supply you with glasses which hide the fact. Normal thickness lenses on me look like bottle bottoms, particularly on the weaker eye.:cool:0
