Best value sites for USA flights including multi-city flights?

Can anyone recommend the best value sites for US flights? I planning to travel to yellowstone in the summer and am thinking would I like to fly in to one city and out from another to avoid huge driving distances.

I'm having trouble with the price comparison sites as they don't generally allow you to input multi-city flights in the initial search. Can anyone recommend good value sites or US flights or multi-city?

Many thanks:)

Check return flights for each airport to get a feel for the airlines with the cheaper flights and dates.

try kayak.co.uk (multi-city) or expedia.co.uk (multiple destinations) as a starting point - both allow you to look at open jaw tickets which will give you and idea what airlines fly into and out of the 2 airports you're looking at...flying the same airline, or airlines that codeshare with each other will be way cheaper than coming in one one carrier and going out on another.

We generally start with kayak then go to the airline's websites directly when we have narrowed it down...we prefer to book direct with the airline.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
  • That's been really helpful thanks.

Useful to quickly check the different options and being able to see a diary of the prices by day on Kayak has taken the pain out of checking day by day. I've already been able to shave quite a bit of prices.

  • Hi,
You could check directly with some of the airlines
    Southwest
    Jet Blue
    Spirit air
    Alaskan/horizon
    Delta
Check out their route timetables/where we fly dropdown buttons on their websites.
Some do one way tix as well if you don't want to double back on youself.
You could sign up to a site called Travel ticker which emails details of fare deals to you ..it also does hotels and all the other bits associated with travel deals.

That is possibly because it is spam, only three posts from cristinaloha and she has so far booked flights to Florida and South America through a website that actually doesn't sell flights at all but is a media company, presumably employing someone called cristina!
