How many kitchens does one house need?

Ah, one business in that road is a care home. That'd account for it. Self-contained apartments, within a care setting.
And Sunrise Senior Living is at the same postcode, WD6 3RG, as this place.... so I presume this was a similar venture next door. It's not Sunrise as they have 75 rooms with en-suite, unless Sunrise is 5 buildings of about 15 rooms apiece.0 -
I reckon it was built by a bloke who has lots of wives, each of whom wanted their own living room and kitchen...:)0

No looks more like an extended family home
All six directors of Joysleep Ltd. All named Shah list it as their home address.0 -
Price tag's a bit high for what's essentially 16 flats. Over £400k each. You could stick up 8x as many small flats for the same money.
They obviously ran out of wedged up grannies that could afford to move in.0 -

No it's not a retirement home.
It was built as a single family home as per the planning application.
It's just that the family appears to be very extended.0 -
Amazing (protected green belt) views, whatever the living arrangements.
Given the single dwelling planning permission, I guess the idea is that the new owners can remove any kitchens they don't require.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Further up the main road, with the same views there are 3/4 bedroom flats on the market at 750k, not as new and not as quiet location - so this is an expensive area.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. If you look at floorplan 1, seems every reception room needs its own kitchen!
Amazing views.
Even 2-bed semis start at £224k.
So, anybody with that kind of money could buy a piece of land and build their own 16 one-bed flats much cheaper than in the original link.0 -
It's green belt land, PN, so very very heavily controlled. But you are right, there's not going to be much demand for this particular layout of house. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Norwegian Barn? Looks more like Firkin End..................
