Sorry to post again (posted about Santander Zero few days ago)
I have santander Zero Credit card, Nationwide current and now a caxton global prepaid mastercard.
Im trying to figure out the cheapest way to draw out money abroad,
Nationwide seems way out now, £1.50 plus 2.75% (guess u get free travel insurance tho!)
Santander Zero free 27% apr , daily charge untill paid off
Or Caxton which add 2.5% on
Why are there so many choices is there a place i can compare how its cheapest or a calc?!
Thanks all

No Nationwide is 2% plus £1.
You can do the maths yourself with a pocket calculator or create a spreadsheet.
It's a matter of working out whether £1 is more or less than the extra 0.5% on Caxton and how many days interest with Santander it takes to outweigh the zero fees.0 -
Use Santander Zero. It easy to avoid the interest charge and you'll just get MasterCard's wholesale FX rate (sometimes even the wrong side of the market in your favour). As soon as you withdraw cash, pay money to your card account from your current account by online banking. When I've done this from a current account at another bank, it appeared on my card account in Santander online banking in under 10 seconds. If you won't have access to online banking when you're away, just set up a future-dated payment for the day of your expected cash withdrawal for slightly more than you expect to withdraw.0

This is a no brainer. Shift your Nationwide (used to be proud to be different) to the Norwich and Peterborough Gold and there you are, free withdrawls at foreign ATM's again Simples0

Walrus is spot on. Moved from Nationwide (who wants their travel insurance anyway) to Norwich & Peterborough and have just returned from Spain. Visa commercial rate on debit card cash withdrawals and purchases. My wife set the account up as she has over the £500 paid in every month and so meets the criteria to get free foreign cash withdrawals.
I used the Nationwide card and was duly charged commission.
I'm guessing Nationwide have lost a few customers to Norwich & Peterborough.:rotfl:0
