WHY are you spending thousands now to maybe save a few pounds on a problem that might never happen?
    QUOTE]

The engineer stated that oil is getting into cylinder 1 and will 'end up needing a new engine' therefore B.E.R.

I'm guessing this is more than a few pounds?

Yes, more than the value of your car once you factor labour, but I agree with the above, ie, it may last a year or 3, not likely to be a catostrophic failure, just a "slow death"..

Run it untill it does get unreliable;);)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

Run it until it dies or the MOT man laughs so much he is in danger of serious injury.

Anything new & shiny you have had to replace, Remove and flog on ebay.

    Sorry for the delay!

Thanks for your help peeps, I will keep until the car packs up or indeed fails it's MOT...

Will it slowly die then? I'm not in danger of an engine seizure in the middle of the Aston Expressway am I?

As long as you keep the oil topped up (but not over full) you’re pretty unlikely to get a catastrophic failure.

If the new plug oils up as well then just change it, car could last a month or 10 years but I think it’s unlikely to die without warning.
