I dont know if this is the right place.
But with digital photos am I better to print them on my own printer(considering cost of printer ink) or take the memory card and get prints done at the shop?
What do you think on cost and quality?

Much better if you print them your self - ie. cheaper. With a good photo program and good resolution printer the quality should be quite high.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0

We print most of ours at home...when we came back from Rome, we uploaded our pics and paid to get them printed and delivered as we had so many...but I prefer printing them out at home.If you obey all the rules...you miss all the fun!! Katherine Hepburn0

I am very worried about endding up using tons of printer ink!
Your own print out fades too.:beer:0 -

Well yes, you would be using as much ink as is needed but taking everything into account it stil cheaper than having it printed professionally. The prints may fade but not that quickly and dramatically, I think.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
Normally cheaper to get them done at a shop (or supermarket) for "bulk" 6x4s, a bit cheaper to do A4s at home. I've found the shop ones are pretty good quality but can be a bit hit and miss on cropping - standard digital doesn't fit 6x4.0
