Sometimes you wake up grumpy ... but if you're wise, you'll let her sleep in.

I hate to say it but they are totally awful! I have tried DVDS365, LoveFilm, Tesco, CD-WOW (basically Lovefilm), Screen Select, Global and Blockbuster.
The best has been ScreenSelect and Lovefilm, and worst is Tesco then Blockbuster in last place.
It depends on what you have in your queue, but if its a free trial then you can see for yourself.

I'm on my 3rd DVD from Screen Select's free trial offer and they've been fantastic, so much so that I'm contemplating continuing my membership with them
I received my first DVD on a Friday, posted it back the following Wednesday and received another DVD by the Friday, and exactly the same the following week! ... good turnaround in 48hrs.
Can anyone remind me how many DVD's were included in the free trial offer please in case I decide to cancel and try some of the other trial offers before returning to them? I've a feeling it was 4 or 28 days, whichever was sooner, but can't find the info on their site now."An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Last year I signed up to Screenselect and then Lovefilm. Both were fantastic - really quick service and fast turnaround of films.
Then didn't sign up with any other until last Sunday, when I joined Blockbusters 30 day free trial. Today, Saturday, still have not received a thing.Only 5% of those who can give blood, actually do!

I signed up to Blockbuster.I posted a DVD back 1st class on a Monday and they did not acknowledge receipt until 10pm on the Wesnesday. This meant the next DVD was not received until the Friday. Very slow turnaround time.0

Screenselect are FANTASTIC!!!!! I send a DVD back on Monday, and have a new one on Wednesday!!!!!!0

I also joined both BlockBuster & Ilovefilms and whilst both were much better than using a video shop, I had about 40 DVD's on my list and still they sometimes didn't have any of my films available so I ended up adding lots of Worzel Gummidge & Laural & hardy ones on just so that I got something through.regards Guy

Thankyou for all your posts. I've signed up for their free trial, as they ofer the cheepest 3 dvd unlimited deal, but if they turn out to be pants, I'll go to the lovefilm place as everybody seems to be very happy with their level of service.
Thank you once again for posting your replies, I'll let you know whether blockbusters free trial goes well for me, or if I will aso default to love film at the end of it.Sometimes you wake up grumpy ... but if you're wise, you'll let her sleep in.0 -
i only signed up on sunday evening, but first impressions are not very good. they claim to have sent my first 3 dvds on monday, but now, wednesday, i've receieved nothing. This means i'll have had to wait at least 3 days to receive them.
This doesn't compare favourably with lovefilm or screenselect, from whom I received my dvds the day after the sent them0 -
I was going to sign up for DVD rental from Tesco, they sent a thingy in the post for 1,000 extra points if you sign up for at least three months, i figured that a trip to the local cinema costs £7 each on a Saturday night and since their rental is £7.97 a month I thought it sounds good... are there any better deals I am missing out on?oooh look only about 220 posts and I got round to doing my Avatar already!!0
