What would you do and how??

Hi all,
I've just had a load of my auctions finish, most of my items sold, but one or two didn't. One of the items that sold was a book, I've just had an email from the buyer of this book saying he wants one of the other books that didn't sell aswell and to include this on the invoice. Now i really expected this to sell and to go for more than the list price, but it didn't.

How do I go about adding the extra to the invoice (eg include in the postage costs) and how much for? I would normally just relist this item.

The person who won it has been around for a while and has feedback over 1000.

Any thoughts people.

Thanks muchly :D

if the book has come off then it is no longer on ebay (the invoice) etc so it is a private sale. One book is via ebay and one is after the listing has closed. Iwould email him with a total price for both books and postage but if there is another way of doing it then I apologize and let the experts tell you !!! xx

  • Email him privately, tell him you will increase the cost of P&P to cover the other item. If he agrees than invoice him auction price + P&P + the other book you offer to sell it to him (to be included in the P&P column).

That way you gain ebay lost .. yahoo....

Concur with the above, just load your P+P to cover it.

You could re-list the auction and make him the only approved bidder. You'd get your original listing fee refunded.

That is the legit way of doing it and you get the chance to leave feedback. Private sales are against eBays user agreement.

Having said that - I might not take my advice in this case ;)
Life should be a little nuts; otherwise it's just a bunch of Thursdays strung together.

I would add it to the p&p, as long as your dealing with a seasoned ebayer just let them know what their total invoice will be.
