Game online offer in store?

This is more of a question then asking about my rights, I apologise if this is in the wrong section.
Basically I'm interested in a playstation 3 bundle from game (Link below) http://www.game.co.uk/Consoles/PlayStation-3/Sony-PlayStation-3-320GB-PS3-Slim-with-Gran-Turismo-5-and-Fifa-11/~r352784/
It's perfect. Good price, I want a PS3 Mainly for GT5 and Fifa is always good when you have mates around, but I went in to my local store today to find that they're offering Little Big Planet 2 instead of GT5 which I definately don't want. There isn't a bundle which doesn't involve Little Big Planet 2
Has anyone had any experience in Game where they will allow me to purchase the online offer in store? I personally don't see this being a problem since it's advertised online but I've saved for this console for a long time and I'm eager to get it ASAP
I feel silly for not asking whilst I was in store but any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

They've declined with me before, which I was surprised about, as 99.9% of the time I can usually wrangle something. Needles to say I took my business elsewhere.
Only thing I can advise is to go into your local store and ask, or look elsewhere.0 -
Thanks for your reply Sublime! I spoke to my parents about it and they said they had problems with it as well over the christmas period. I've looked all over the web and this is the best deal I can find, I would say it's pretty poor customer service if they can't simply swap one game for another which is also advertised online.
If you guys can find something simular, please share.I try to help as much as I can. But I'm also honest and speak my mind.

They are run as a separate company - online and instore so I doubt it.
Theres lots of online stores that don't offer the same price instore as online.0 -
best thing to do is ask in store ..... i won a wii + 2 games and my store bought it from me at full price as it was all still sealed (un opend) and full price on both games ,i then bought from them my ps3
.

Not the price I'm concerned about, it was the same price as instore it's just the game I get with Fifa I'm concerned about
I'll give them a call tomorrow morning and see what they say. But my GAME are usually quite good so I'm optimistic.I try to help as much as I can. But I'm also honest and speak my mind.

You'll also find that normally even games will be cheaper on game's website than in store.
A lot of places have "online only" offers. However i believe game offers (or used to offer) a click and collect service. Usually when stores offer a click and collect, you pay the online price but can get it in store (sometimes the same day if they have it in stock).
However, sorry to get your hopes up but i can only see the basic ps3 160gb console as eligible for click and collectYou keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Any reason you can't just buy it online?0

Just rather have it sooner rather then later. Just don't see why I should wait when I can go pick it up on the same day as wellI try to help as much as I can. But I'm also honest and speak my mind.

Allow me to kinda fill you in a bit.
ALL retailers who sell games consoles set up their console deals in co-ordination with the software companies who will allow them to discount certain games in order to drive hardware sales. It's highly likely that for the time being the majority, if not all of Sony's console deals which are negotiated between Sony & the retailers will contain LBP2. The problem comes that when you want to switch a game, you might want GT5 - however that game is not funded by Sony for discount in bundles, in this time, particularly with the gaming industry it's MUCH more difficult to swing things to tailor the individual needs of the customer.
Now it's easy to say "oh come on, it's only a game - surely they won't miss that!" well, in this time games retailers in general are not having fun times! The other thing is that it's easy to take a singular view, but if they do it for you, they've got to do it for everyone - they might be able to make up the £20 loss on that one game, but imagine 5 people do that a day in every store, gotta be close to 300 stores each losing £100 a day! That's probably why you'll be knocked back - not poor customer service, if anything it's exactly the opposite, if this happens and Game consistently lose money the inevitable effect is stores close and frankly in their position it could mean serious issues on a company scale.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0 -
