I'd like to join the March Challenge as well. Can someone put me down for £200 please.
My month will run from 28th Feb to 27th March.
Thanks0 -
Hi everyone,
Firstly, sorry to hear about your Dad, Katholicos, can only imagine what you're going through.
A big thankyou to Scotsaver for the heads up on Lid! pop prices, will try and have a look. Must go more often to Lid!, its a bit further away, but makes sense with the good prices and savings in the long run.
Also thanks to Cutiepieabf for your 4 week menu plan. I had just managed to do the last four days this week, my first attempt at menu planning. Usually I just decide on the day, but it makes much more sense to plan ahead and seeing your plan has motivated me to get organised.
Already over budget for Feb, but have to use up a £12 Tesc* voucher before the 27th. Going to add this into March's spend though, can't let £12 saving get away.
Otherwise should be NSD's until end of month.

Sorry to hear about your loss Katholicos
Had a spend of £7.62 in Mr T yesterday - bacon, mangetout, toilet tissue and milk.
A new Co-op has opened near Trafalgar Square and they were giving £1 off £5 spend vouchers. I picked up 4!A lot, due to it being in town I guess, was taken up by ready meals. However the bread looked nice and they had a few deals on - the meat for £10 looks okay, bacon and sausages are the same price as Mr T/Mr S so I might buy some of those. I don't need tons so I'll use one voucher this week on stuff I would have bought in Mr S/Mr T anyway.
I know it's probably been mentioned before but is the loyalty card by Co-op worth getting. I only envisage myself spending a maximum of £20 in there a month, so will the bonus be any good based on this amount of spending?Grocery Challenge Jan 24 0/300

Been to Mr S for formula, value spuds, 2 pints of whoopsie 1% milk and a big packet of crisps (lasts me 3 days and cheaper than a 6 pack) I used my £10 nectar points so this lot cost me 6p. :rotfl:
Because I used my points I am going to count this as March challenge as I said I would use my points in March and my March will start on Saturday as I have to go to Mr T to use my £9 till spit.
I have planned and costed up my shopping on the Tesc0 site and have got it down to £68 for everything but milk, cheese, fruit and veg and more bread which will have to be bought weekly:) I spotted some sensitive face wipes reduced from 99p to 21p! I hope they are ok as I am going to get 5 packs for a 3rd of the cost of the S1mple ones I normally get which will last me a few months.
Declaring Feb at £320.28 and setting March budget at £250
I have to keep the spending down as low as possible this month and this is to cover 5 full weeks until DH pay day on 31st March. I have never ever come in on budget but this month there will just not be the money there to spend so I will have to.:(Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -
Another €20 gone today....am starting to worry now!

My deepest sympathies to Katholicos.
NickJW definitely worth getting the co-op dividend card.Even on a small monthly spend you will get sent vouchers once or twice a year which you have the option of spending instore or exchanging at a till for cash. Its money you are entitled to so grab it!
Finished February but not added up my total yet might be slightly over for this time of the annual budget but I have done some seriuos stocking up on offers so not too fussed. I will update siggy later. Hugs to all."Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0 -
