Ahhhhh - a girl after my own heart
By the way - I was chatting to my 78year old Dad on the phone today, and he informs me that if you turn your eggs upside down when you buy them, and turn them every few days thereafter - it helps your eggs stay fresher for longer. Is that common knowledge, and I'm the last to know? Or is it news to anyone else too?
Rotflmao! I've been doing that for years and didn't know why LOL, my granny used to do it but I don't remember if she told me why he he, another mystery cleared up. The things you learn on this board:T:T1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:

Can't understand why this as happened. normally just click on edit sig n change figure i spent. Tried ur advice n still no difference. Anyway deleted all sig and re done. and as long as don't use a bigger font its lettin me change it. I used a bigger font on Jan and up until this weekend but now it won't let me? Puzzling. Thanks for ur help though. Much Appreciated
Hi fingers,
The limit isn't only on font size and number of characters, it's also on number of lines. I think 6 lines is the maximum so try taking out any extra line spaces you may have put in.

Thanks to Mothership and the '2nd Purse' idea.
This month, I have been trying out my own 'take' on the 2nd purse idea and so far, it's working well. Here's what I'm doing:
I have my main purse with my one-week cash allowance (groceries). However, if I see short-term bargains/bogofs etc on my trip round the supermarket, then I will buy about 1-2 month's stock of this item, using my credit card. I will only buy bargains, where they are my usual store cupboard goods..NO TREATS! I am very disciplined tho!
Back home, I keep a tally of my BOGOF credit card spends on a spreadsheet and add up the total. This total is the amount that I must pay into my 2nd purse.
When I can, I put cash from my main purse into a 2nd purse to pay for these credit card spends.
Initially, of course, I owed 2nd purse loads, but bit by bit, have have got this 2nd purse debt down quite a bit.
Next month, when I get my main purse cash allowance out of the bank, I will use the cash in my 2nd purse to contribute to this, so leaving more money in the Bank to pay my credit card bill.
Works for me so far!
Hope this makes some sort of sense and is helpful to someone!
THANKS to MOTHERSHIP for giving me the 2nd purse idea.0 -
Well, I'm going to be over again this month, probably by about £15 - must read back about 2nd purse idea as part of my overspend is stocking up. Think I will have to up the monthly budget from £150 to £165 though, and see how I go.0
