Advice needed with replacing Virgin PAYG

I am on Virgin PAYG and want to replace my phone but keep my number.

I have found a new phone I want to buy at Argos (Virgin VM202 - Pink 518/5418) but under the t&c I have to also buy a £10 top up at the same time, can I put this £10 on to my old sim card or will it automatically go on to the sim that comes with the phone with a different phone number?

I'm clueless when it comes to mobile phones and would be grateful if anyone can help

The credit could be transfered for you,or you could buy direct ,check and see if you have any crave rewards you might get some money off

I shopped around and found exactly the same phone on sale in store at Tesco, no compulsary top-up and half the price! Very pleased with my new bargain £9.99 Virgin mobille

When you buy a mobile phone at Argos the £10 top up is a voucher, not on the sim card so you can put it on any Virgin Mobile account. I've bought 2 in the last few months and both came with a voucher top up.
