I buy unbranded ones in bulk off of amazon i have a box full of these in our spare room having spent about £20 we're still going after a year.
Just check your make a model, as good as the Epson ones at a fraction of the price.

The cheapest to operate is a laser printer for example a SAMSUNG ML-1665 can be had for less than £50 (Amazon). I've had an older model Samsung for years. It's not hard to refill the toner tank with toner powder.0
