Want to buy a memory foam double mattress.

Either get a pocket sprung one from about £220, or pocket springs WITH memory foam for about £350 upwards. Go for 800-1000 springs or more, spring count always done a King Size (5ft x 6ft6) size. More springs usually the better, until you reach the 1600-1700 mark. Spring counts of 2000 to 4000 are pointless and your pay for it too.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0

Any thoughts on these pocket sprung ones from Ebay at all ? I don't know the difference with the first 4,the last one has more springs.

The 1st one seems too cheap, works out at £132.50 without the VAT, minus say about £20 delivery cost, leaves £112.50. Yes it's a good price but why, my gut tells me it will only give about 5 years service.
2nd one is a roll package mattress, while they seem a good idea the springs are not a fully length springs.
3rd one again seems a little too cheap.
4th and 5th seem like good buys, however the 4th one the 1st picture is wrong, it's showing a mattress that has hand side stitched boarder when clearly this is not the case.
Are you happy to buy without trying it? Check the returns policy, if you want to try it 1st make sure that you try it in the bag. If need be make some holes in the bag so the air can escape giving a truer feel of the mattress. Just make sure you tape them up again before sending it back.
Just looked at t+c's of the 1st one, stay away!
Hope that helps a little.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -
I was leaning towards the last one, thank you so much for taking the time to have a look.
The one i have now i bought from Dreams i thought was ok after lying on different ones,it's a Myers one and after 3 yrs it makes my back ache,so i thought buying one without lying on it can't be any worse than the one i have now.0 -
Sorry to be a pain!
Do you think any of these are better than the last one in the previous list ?

Sorry I'm a bit late with a review if you have already purchased.
Single sided mattress are just that 1 sleep side only. There will be some fillings on the underside but not enough to sleep on.
Usually the fillings will be heavier and better quality i.e designed to be slept on all the time. You don't need to flip the mattress over but rotate around about once a month.
There is still some discussion as whether 1 sided are better, but in book all it depends on how often you would normally turn your mattress anyway. If you religious about it and turn it over every month, a double sided mattress will last longer then a single sided mattress. But if your the type of person that has far more fun things to do in life then a 1 sided matt is the one to go for.
Also not turning a double sided mattress will void any guarantee.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -

Hi I'm in exactly the same pickle. I havent got a clue where to start, but after being hit by a car 5 years ago, I have chronic back issues which mean i need as little pressure on my hips as possible and as much support for my back as possible if that makes sense??? Has anyone got any advice about what ones are best, what I should be looking for etc?0
