If you get flashed by a speed camera, how long does it take for them to send paperwork through regarding the fine/points etc. I thought I got caught out by a camera 12 days ago but so far heard nothing. Is there a timelimit on this.

Initially they have 14 days to write to the registered keeper. Should the keeper not be the driver then there is no time limit, as it depends how quickly the driver is identified and subsequently contacted.

The incident happened on Sunday 16 Jan so have they got till monday to let me know. Am hoping nothing may come of it obviously. Can but hope

I am the registered keeper and ive owned it 4 years +

In theory you should be ok, if you don't get anything tomorrow.

Bare in mind any 'time limit' or such doesn't account for postal delays. Someone in the family waited 4 weeks for their speeding ticket.

They had to have posted it yesterday to be deemed as served within the 14 days so anyting dated after 27th and arriving after 29th, means the OP is ok.

Probably wasn't a live camera, how do you get caught out by a speed camera they are big yellow things on a pole?
