What I liked about Focus is that they were set up in smaller towns. We have one 12 miles down the road whereas the Homebases and B&Qs are over 30 miles away. Real shame they are closing and the more rural based amongst us will miss them.

We are in a semi rural area too and Focus only opened about 18 months back - its always packed with people. Surely not all the branches will be closing?

no not all the branches are closing. some are going to the payless brand (their value range part) some have been sold off

some of the more rural focus' where there are no B&Q etc are extremely profitable

i used to work for focus till last year and there is always rumors going around about them going bust and stores closing they just get new took over and keep the name it happens, some times stores get closed if they are not profitable.
payless is their value range and yes it was called that before.
