icici now 5.45%!

icici website now shows the rate as 5.45%, they have passed 0.3% to us, i guess to compete with icesave. is a savings rate war imminent?

  • Effective from 10th November.
  • I have got an ICICI account but with only a quid in it, will wait two more weeks to see if anything else come up! then i think this will be too good a rate to resist...still a bit concerned about the neg feedback tho !!
  • Good for IceSave. They benefit all UK savers :).

I can't be bothered to put back what I have taken if they have just managed to match up with ICESAVE considering the negative feedback we have read on these forums. Honestly I've never have much problems with them running my account (maybe one of those lucky ones i guess).;)

If they probably have given a more competitive rate let's say 5.60% then I'll pay attention.

My OH and I still got a a quid each.

Music to my ears, I've got my ICICI account running and never had a problem after the initial set up.
Although still on the lookout to see if I should re-distribute my funds...

Very happy with this as it's where the bulk o my savings are at the moment - was considering moving to Icesave but will hold off for now due to this news :D

Me too. I've never had a problem with them at all anyway. Great news!
Indecision is the key to flexibility :)
  • I'm very chuffed too. The interest rate was only changed yesterday and already I've got a e-mail from ICICI imforming me of there increase to the savings rate.

Shame my mortgage payments will go up as well, but not for long I hope!
    Regards,
    Dave

If only I had a pound for every time I used the thanks button :D

ICESAVE ?? It's ICICI that have made the increase ;)
  • I've just taken all my money out from my icici a/c (except £1). Nothing to do with their performance - just time to re-distribute. I paid weekly amounts into my icici a/c over 10 months and never had any problems.
Made two withdrawals from icici on Tues evening and they have arrived in my linked account today (fri).

I must admit all the horror stories on this site did concern me though and I feel more relaxed now the money is out.
