You can tell your insurance company that your not liable but it doesnt mean that they wont find you at fault

Just to update everyone - we have had our car checked and had statements taken from us a couple of months ago
today we received a letter from our insurance company to say the other party had dropped the claim against us:j
I am so glad that the little boy has made a full recovery and has sufferd no long term harm :T

No it wouldn't help at all. The UK is broke and what it needs is more people like the OP to pay excessive fuel duty and VED.
I've just read the thread and am quite shocked at what I read. Some one runs a young child over and all they seemed concerned about is if they are liable.
Anyway, for the sake of the UK, please go out and buy a 4x4 :rotfl:0
