Hi Skea
This is just a word of encouragement.
I came from a council estate in London. I joined the Army straight after leaving school for 8 years. I set up my own company 18 years ago and because of staff, I was nearly made bankrupt twice. I lost one property to a girlfriend 3 years ago (worth £550k and with only £180k outstanding). She just had some really good solicitors! I have nearly lost my other home worth six times the amount. My best friend asked for my last £30,000, which I gave him being told that I was going to get it back in 3 weeks time. You know what they say, if you want to lose a friend, give him some money. I never saw this money nor my friend again. Things couldn’t get any worse. Well that was just over 1 year ago.
With the support of family, friends and keeping myself going, I started a new business, giving advice to people, on matters such as divorce, employment, repossessions, etc… suddenly things seemed to get better.
You have to remain posatitve in these times and always keep an open mind.
I will tell you a story which I heard 18 years ago and I will never forget till the day I die:
There were three gods up in the heaven discussing the where to hide the secret of success. Because, if man found this secret, they will no longer need the gods.
One god suggested hiding this deep in the mountains. The others disagreed as man will eventually dig deep enough and one day, he would find it.
Another god suggested hiding it high up in the sky. The others disagreed, as man will eventually find a way to reach the heavens and find it.
Another god suggested hiding it in the deepest oceans. The others disagreed, as man will eventually find a way to reach the deepest of oceans and find it.
They just couldn’t agree and argued all morning.
Now a little god was sweeping up, and heard the commotion. He stepped in and told them he had the prefect place to hide the secret of success where man would NEVER find it.
He said” Hide it within man himself. This way he will never find it”.
The moral is – keep going, use your family and friends for support. Sometimes its even good to talk to strangers like me – but the most important thing is to remember, keep it real ( as said by Ali G)0
