When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Morning all

Woke up to a horrid buzzing noise, had to wake the lodger up to get him to find the source (I'm hearing impaired and can't get direction of sound) Turned out to be my daybreak alarm clock. Hope I can fix it later

Well the day has finally come, I've made the final payment on my car, it's mine yahoo :j:j:j but for some reason they took an extra £80. Have emailed them to find out why.
It's payday yay :j:j:j

Look DNMS, see I'm trying to find a positive to cancel out the negative :rotfl::rotfl:

Normal DFW stuff
  • Free tea at work
  • Charge phone at work
  • Take packed lunch and snack
  • Surveys where I can
  • Make a couple of sorting out calls from work
  • Tonight is a stop in and wallow night. Boyfriend bought me wine last night so I'm going to drink that in the jacuzzi whilst I do the face pack thingy. Then off to an early night

Talk went okish. Our work schedules don't gel well. He's a DJ and I'm a teacher, I'm up about the time when he gets in etc. sigh. That's the main cause of arguments. I suppose I'll have to buy him a valentines pressie now. Was hoping to save the dosh lol

Have a good one all

Nearly the weekend so I might write myself a job list today and frighten DH :D:D

OMG please give me some guidance advice! We are going to Marrakesh for 10 days. Went through holiday-rentals.co.uk and accom was £300 for an appartment and flight we got in the Ryanair sales :j so my cost for 10 day holiday was £230 :T

so what I want to know is:
    • recommendations of places to go, visit we are defiantely up for travelling around and happily getting over b&b/hostel if we venture far - can't imagine it will cost alot
    • how much do you think we need for spending money - alot or not? (I have less than I had hoped cos of my car :()
    • best to change currency here or there?
    • I want to treat oh to the morrocco by air (balloon) as its his 30th but not sure what would be reasonable there to haggle down to
    thanks :A
