Would it be possible to add the Halifax ISA to your list.
I dont believe the Halifax ISA Saver Direct has a rate guarantee0 -
Don't wish to appear too thick, but it's 5% now, are you saying that they needn't increase this rate if they don't want to?
No the rate is variable and need not change if Halifax do not want to. Generally products that a provider is pushing will go up when the rate goes up, but as we have seen previously this is not guaranteed to happen.
This thread is dealing with products that have caveats regarding base rate changes.0 -
Looks like ing could be last again, what are they doing.

Tom188,
Thanks for the info, I've put the data about the closed accounts on the list. Haven't included the Saffron 30 day tracker ISA as the bonus is less than a year (as mentioned in the 1st post). Why? For 3-6 month bonus accounts the AER figure isn't particularly insightful which would mean having to include gross interest rate figures and that'd open a whole new can of worms with monthly vs annual interest payment accounts, just trying to keep a lid on the complexity of the table basically."The state is the great fiction by which everybody seeks to live at the expense of everybody else." -- Frederic Bastiat, 1848.0 -
I've probably missed something here but I can't see any details of A&L increases - are they not bothering?
I have A&L Online Saver (4.65% from 2/9/06 - with £1k in), PlusSaver (4.3% w.e.f. 2/9/06 - with £1.04 in) and a Direct ISA (5% w.e.f. 2/9/06 - opened 4/3/05).Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
