At last i upgraded and bought a new Nokia 3220 from orange today for £70 (with trade in) PAYGO.

I paid to get it sim free, and tried my O2 card, except the WAP features do not work.

is it worth moving to Orange? is it better than O2 network?

How can i port my number over to orange? What is the best/cheapest/free way of speaking to orange customer services?
if i port my number over to orange, can i still use the free introductory services for WAP/photo messaging during the free trials?

Any other advice welcome.
Thanks
chipz.

there is a help bit on the O2 web site that will send the wap settings direct to the phone by sms, just type in your phone number and pick your phone model

i tried but the 3220 nokia is not listed in the Nokia menus, so it must be an orange specific model.

any tips on how i can transfer my number to from o2 to orange? Is orange a good service?

If you look in the booklet with the Orange simcard, p13, it says "Just let us know, when registering your new SIM card, if ..."; takes about 7 days

You can register online or via the 0800 numbers in the book

i have noticed that orange does not provide a 1471 service, unlike o2, something i find very useful. Can the orange answer service be switched off?
