Currently paying £16pm for unlimited broadband only package. Rang through today for a MAC code as I was thinking of changing and was offered a reduction to £8pm with the first 5 months free on a 12 month contract. I have been with them for 7 years, so that might have helped. Saving myself nearly £140 over the next year for the price of a phone call. :beer:

Pipex was one of the smaller ISPs that are being amalgamated into Opal. My ISP (Freedom2Surf) was also excellent, and also offered me a good discount recently but since Opal got involved the speed/service has declined without any reason. Opal cust service only suggest that I "upgrade" to a more expensive Opal package. So keep an eye on the quality of your service.. Hope it works out for you. Argy

Yes - Pipex were taken over a while back. Speed has actually increased to a consistent 11 mbps and my exchange gets upgraded soon. Only thing I'm not happy about is their policy of limiting the speed of certain downloads at certain times - but at just over £4pm I can live with it for another 12 months.
