Looks like I am going to be leaving Virgin.
I am on ADSL and have 2 Virgin email addys, have just received my MAC and have realised I will lose my email addys, is there a way to keep these email addys?
I seem to remember a while back that you need to downgrade to dial up?
Also will need to adjust settings to my Outlook Express when I change BB supplier?

Just sign up for Gmail and you will have have a lifelong ISP-independent email address forever. Takes 10 minutes max.
You will probably be able to receive from those old VM addresses for a while, but you won't be able to send from it.
You can set up Gmail to download into Outlook Express quite easily. Enable IMAP or POP3 in Gmail and then just set it up as a new account in OE.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Already have Gmail, but have 2 Virgin addys that lots of people have as main addy, also it is linked to OE.
This is from the MAC confirmation e-mail;-
"Just so you know, if you do decide to use your MAC and leave us, your
Virgin Media email address will be cancelled immediately"
What I meant re adjusting settings was if I decide to use new BB suppliers email addy, (although I probably won't).

I wouldn't count on VM being that efficient-you could retain it for months.
Bcc email to all your contacts advising them of change of email address takes another few minutes only.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Don't know about that, when I requested my MAC earlier they told me they had to apply to Ofcom for the MAC and it would take 5 working days, I told them this was BS and if I did not have the MAC within 1 hour I would report them, I had it in 75 minutes.
There are a lot of people(utilities, banks, others etc), that I just don't know all of them, well we shall just have to grin and bear it.
Is it possible to have a dial up therefore keeping the old addys?

Hang on, if you are on VM cable you don't need a MAC anyway, as you are not migrating on ADSL-are you on Virgin National?
They're lawfully allowed 5 working days to send a MAC-but you don't need to get it from OFCOM.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

I am on ADSL as per my OP
As in my post above, I had the MAC within 75 minutes.
Is there a way to peek my old addys re getting a Virgin dial up acc and not using it?

Sorry, missed that.
Not sure on the dial up account position, did VM ever offer dial up services? No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

They did, (not sure if still do), as that is what I had when I started with them a few years ago.
Looks like they still do;- Virgin dial up
