do you mind if i ask who you booked this through we are looking to go over in aug and still looking into various companies??

Hoseasons - they do the ferry as well. Have used them before in other parts of the UK and the accomodation has always been good.

use tesco voucher for ferry tickets on wightlink, althoguh i think sometimes you can get ferry inclued in accomdation price.

there are caravan at thorness, my friend owns a few there , not sure i'm allowed to post friends business website on here, but u can pm me.

there are holiday places in whitley bank which my bil and sil often stay at and love it.

lower hyde in shanklin is meant to be brillent.

as i live on the island i don't ever stay in any of these, so can't somment personally.
  • thanks for that have looked at lower hyde and have just had some info from whitecliff bay
  • Don't know about the accomodation at Whitecliff Bay, but it's got a fantastic beach! Ferry wise it's cheaper if you can go at off peak times, if you're prepared to go at midnight it's cheapest! I use my Tesco vouchers if you get them but it's not cheap however you do it, really. I think it's supposed to be the most expensive ferry crossing per mile that there is! Worth it though!
  • we stayed in Whitecliff bay. Its not what id call an all action site like Haven for the kids but it was nice and clean
Wildlife all round your van and the staff lovely
The site shops, pubs etc were very expensive £2+ for a cup of tea
Mad Mum to 3 wonderful children, 2 foster kittens and 2 big fat cats that never made it to a new home!
Aiming to loose 56 pounds this year. Total to date 44.5 pounds 12.5 to go. Slimming World Rocks!

A walk to the needles and and new/old battery is well worth a look. Great views overlooking Alum bay and the needles.
We used this site, staying at Sandhills, which is next to Whitecliff bay. These are private vans that are available to hire.
