Interesting thread. I'd never considered putting paypal funds onto my cashplus but might look into it now for future reference!

The only probles I have with cashplus is topping up - I can manually top-up in two places, the post office (30-35 minute queue (seriously!) and can take 24-36 hrs for the money to "hit" the card and the local newsagent which has Epay - this gets onto the card in about half an hour but costs £2 to load up regardless of the amount you put on, Ive looked into having money send direct from my account to the card but I'm with nationwide BS and they take forever! Any advice on anywhere else I can top up?

you can top up loads of places including the moneyshops, cashconvertors, any paypoint shop.

Just to add that you CANNOT transfer your balance from paypal to cashplus card

Pllleeeease try and deposit a few quid in your cashplus card! This is what we are trying to verify
  • Is it possible to lodge cash directly into the myCashplus holding account? I am traveling at the moment and cannot seem to find a way to load cash onto my card.

I've thought about transferring cash to a friend and then having them lodge the cash into the holding account using my creditcard number as a reference?

    Has anyone tried this?

(I also tried to set a transfer up online with Natwest, but I don't have my card reader with me - doh!)

Any and all advice would be appreciated.

    thanks,
    Richard

    Hiya!

If you're looking for a card which you can transfer funds to from paypal then try paypal's own prepaid card! ive just applied for one cost £4.95 but theres no monthly fee and no fee for loading from paypal. also has no tranaction fee unlike a lot of cards.

Hope that helps it seems exactly what im looking for as i just want it to put my spending money on each week so i leave my current accoutn well alone!!!

You can use the Paypal card to top up from your paypal account, or if you get a Virgin prepay card, again its MasterCard so can use it more places, in theory you can have your wages paid onto it.
