Prepay Credit / Debit Card Load With Paypal?

Hi all,

I've asked about prepay cards before, but I've not been able to find one that is for UK citizens that explicitly states you can load it from paypal.

Is this because they can actually ALL be loaded with a paypal balance, or is it called something else (e.g you're actually just doing a bank transfer to an account number they give you)?

If anyone has a prepaid card they use in this manner, I'd appreciate a pointing in the right direction :)

did you do this by using the cashplus wages deposit facility? I never thought of doing that. Can I ask how long it took.

Thanks for the info! I'd been seeing MyCashPlus coming up all over the place but wasn't sure if it would accept Paypal money.

Will definitely get one now :)

    Thanks again!

  • You would just list your cashplus card as a bank account , I should think.
Paypal won't let you pay money across from paypal to a credit card.

problem is that you need to put your card number as reference for any payments into that account so they know its your money paypal does not have a section to put any reference. there a pdf on cashpluss site about getting your wages etc paid in to your card.
Basically the bank that the money gets paid into is really just a holding account for all card users, if you simply eposited into that account then cashplus would not know who it was for.
I would n't get one if your main reason is that you can get paypal payments onto it as it looks to me like you cant. Love to be proved wrong thogh as it would be handy extra
  • That sounds daft to me!

Your Cashplus card number is YOUR own account number, so money being paid into it is money paid into, and not from, that account.
