The printer comes with a set of starter cartridges which should last a couple of hundered pages.
Also because they are seperate carts for the colours you only need to replace them seperatly when theres about 10% left in each cart.
Hence making the outlay less painfull on the wallet.
Cheers
Steve
Oh golly, it is a complete bargain, just a huge amount out of my budgetI have a HP, but it is used as an entertainment system by my children who are immune to the word no, so this can live in my wardrobe! I bought the 4 xl cartridges now though as I may aswell have all my pain at once :rotfl:
Thanks again for the advice on the cartridges and the great spot0 -
Ive contacted IJT and you need to replace the chip off the original with these carts, they do not come with a chip installed on them.:(
Cheers
steve
I'd already e-mailed IJT the same question re-chipped cartridges.
They have just come back and said the standard cartridges are genuine HP cartridges refilled (with chip attached), but the XL do need the chip taking off the old cartridge and adding by the purchaser.
Might be worth confirming before ordering if you do go for the standard ones!
Works out £21.83 for the set of 4 including postage
£25.31 for the equivalent new cartridges at Amazon0 -
I bought one and it's fabulous. Set and wifi so easy. thanks OP.0

Theres a code that will apply 50% off the price that i got when i ordered some other stuff off ebay with them.
This reduces the price to £11.91 inc postage.
But im still not convinced about them having chips.
Or there is a set on ebay for £7.85 inc postage if you dont mind swapping chips over.0 -
Just realised this is the printer I have - it's fab!! Even flashes up on your computer screen when you have no paper in the tray -wirelessly!!
Awww clever new technology0 -
Does anyone know if this printer lets you print in black if one of the other colours has run out?
Thanks0 -

I'd wait for the price to go back down though - you know what Amazon are like with their price changes...0
