There is one in Argos for £39.99. It doesn't give the model number but it looks like the same printer to me.

Yes it does look like it.Good Spot , imay have got it from there if i'd known.

The cheapest place ive found the original hp cartridges is from amazon. The sell the 364XL versions which have around 2.5x more ink than the standard ones for around £11 each.

    Cheers

Thanks for this- I've just ordered one to go with the Acer netbook listed on grabbit a few days ago. I'm putting them away for my daughters xmas (a long time away I know! lol) and I think she will be thrilled. I may need the next 10 months to find cheap ink as she'll print everything in sight! :T:T
Please remember to thank fellow MSE'rs
  • Just to clarify, the ink replacements for this printer aren't too bad? does it work with compatibles?
  • Thanks OP

Does anyone have a link to the cheapy cartridges, I am not having much luck on Amazon! Thank you :)

You can get replacement cartridges on e-bay etc. for a reduced price BUT they all talk of having to remove a chip from a genuine cartridge and sticking it to the new one. I think there must be a micro chip on the cartridge that 'talks' to the printer.

Otherwise IJT do refurbs which I think are genuine cartridges that have been refilled (?), but their site is short on detail. Cartridges are around £5 each at IJT.

Comet were doing buy one get one ½ price but they are quite pricey to start with.

There is also a pack with the three coloured cartridges (standard not XL) plus 100 glossy sheets of paper (15cm x 10cm) for around £22. HP code is CG927EE

    Available here at Play

Here you will find Cyan,Yellow,Magenta and black (not photo black).
XL carts have 2.5x more ink than standard which are around the £7 mark.

    Prices seem reasonable to me.
  • I went for the cartridge king ones on amazon, meant it was a staggering £80 all up, but I HATE buying cartridges, as a low user of ink I hope it means a years worth! I presume they do not dry out - eekkk!

    Thanks again OP

The printer comes with a set of starter cartridges which should last a couple of hundered pages.
Also because they are seperate carts for the colours you only need to replace them seperatly when theres about 10% left in each cart.
Hence making the outlay less painfull on the wallet :D.

Ive contacted IJT and you need to replace the chip off the original with these carts, they do not come with a chip installed on them.:(
