Three mobile BB dongle getting password reminder

A friend forgot his password so asked for a reminder (on the three web site) when trying to log in.

So entered the mobile dongle number followed by the last six digits from his sim card.

Then a message appeared saying the password will be sent by text to his mobile phone. BUT this is a BB dongle. Any thoughts?

There is software that gets installed so you can use the dongle lets you read text messages of the sim. Alternative you could put the sim card into a phone and read it that way.

My T-Mobile software allows me to read any text messages that have been received, 3 should be exactly the same.

Luckily I have an old mobile which is now a Three PAYG. Put the dongle sim card in and got the password, by text, come through.
